Tony could start a new business, pot in a box!
Seriously, I live in California and have heard that it is VERY easy to get one of the cards to obtain the marijuana. It seems as if this one step closer to legalization which I am not necessarily a fan of.

When I first read the thread I seen "...marijuana bending machine" I was thinking what the heck would someone need with a marijuana bending machine. LOL

Anyways back to reality. Who in their right mind thinks this is ok? I live in California too but am not thinking this is good.

A little story about marijuana. Our local Fire Academy just started and one of the firefighters in the class decided he would get stoned before coming to class!! My Chief was teaching that night and was obviously floored. Even some of the other students said something to the Chief. Unbelieveable. This job is so hard to get into as it is and he is going to take the chance like that. I don't think he will be around for the sections I teach. Probably better that way.

Marijuana is a known gateway drug as well as being highly addictive. That being said so is alcohol and they don't have vending machines for it. Is the perception of marijuana changing?

This is directly from Brown Universities website:
    Is marijuana addictive?
No one would argue that marijuana is as addictive as alcohol or cocaine. However, it's wrong to say that it is not at all addictive. More and more studies are finding that marijuana has addictive properties. Both animal and human studies show physical and psychological withdrawal symptoms from marijuana, including irritability, restlessness, insomnia, nausea and intense dreams. Tolerance to marijuana also builds up rapidly. Heavy users need 8 times higher doses to get the same effects as infrequent users.
For a small percentage of people who use it, marijuana can be highly addictive. It is estimated that 10% to 14% of users will become heavily dependent. More than 120,000 people in the US seek treatment for marijuana addiction every year. Because the consequences of marijuana use can be subtle and insidious, it is more difficult to recognize signs of addiction. Cultural and societal beliefs that marijuana cannot be addictive make it less likely for people to seek help or to get support for quitting

As for you saying it is not a gateway drug, ask anyone in recovery what was the first illegal drug they used. Marijuana
