Why didn't the patriots Franchise Randy Moss?
like seriously? Why??
now he can go anywhere and they get nothing for it....
What was the point of that?

they are the patriots...they want to do things on their terms...
if they feel sure they can sign him...why risk paying him top 5 wr in the nfl money for one year when maybe they can work an aspect to not pay that much

Franchising him would have been a total slap in the face man, what are U talking about? They are working on a deal as we speak, they can't make anything official until the 29th.

I think it would be considered a "slap in the face" as Moss more than earned the right to a long term contract last season, putting up HOF type numbers.
As for a long term situation, Im honestly not seeing him stay there. I know Randy want's a ring, but he already took a considerable paycut last year and I cant see the Patriots forking over the $$ hes really worth ..

Yeah me either. They never give out big $$$ to anyone. He might just go to another contending team ( Packers, Eagles or Giants)
