Need advice on what I should do...
So, I recently got another box of SP Authentic and one of the hits was a Morris Almond letterman autographed patch. But the card looks as though it was bent across the top of the card and where the card meets the patch and there is a huge rip on both sides where the card meets the patch's corners. I was thinking about calling up Upper Deck and asking for another replacement card.
My question is should I bother? I've never had to contact Upper Deck so I'm not sure what to say. Any help is appreciated, thanks. Will try to scan soon.

Thanks for the reply.
Just a couple of questions, though:
What's their phone number?
Do I need to send them proof of me buying the box?
Do I need to send them the card?
Thanks again.

1) UD's Phone Number: 1-800-873-7332
2) Not sure. However, if you still have a receipt or the actual box then you should be fine.
3) If you want a replacement, then yes. They should send something of equal or more value in exchange, but there's no guarentees on that.

Thanks a lot. I'll call UD either tomorrow or Tuesday and see what they say. Thanks for the replies, I really appreciate it.
I'm really disappointed in this box as I got this messed up card and a crappy auto/999 from an undrafted rookie.

So, I called today and they said to send it back with a letter explaining the problem.
I'll mail the card tomorrow, but when do you guys think I'll either get back my card back and would I need to use a new bubble mailer, or would an old one do?

Helping Out..
Hey I Just Had Some What The Same Deal Go On With Topps Chrome. They Promise One Autograph Rookie In Each Box But I Didnt Get That. When They Emailed Me Back ( Which Was Fairly Quick ) It Said That It Would Take 6-8 Business Weeks To Return. And All The Other Stuff You Did Was What I Had To Do Also. Even Though I Got A 1/1 Auto It Wasnt What They Promised And Like You I Demand What I Pay For.
Hope That Answered Your Question

Thanks for the advice. Sent in the card two days ago, so I guess I have to wait; Upper Deck says 6-8 weeks. Couldn't gotten much for the card, since it was badly damaged so I hope I get a Michael Jordan autograph or something like that, lol.

It was probably smart to call. Usually you get worse than the card you loose....same with redemtions that they no longer have...
My advice to you: dont buy SP unless you get the game used. it is a terrible break, with every pack but the one or two hits boring to break, if you are interested in the two cards, dont waste your money on the box, just buy them from someone for less. It seems to be the same for all Upper Deck products these days. Nothing in the lower price, one or two with nothing in the mid price, and loaded high price. that is why they cant sell anymore. their nice cards are worth a ton, but everything else is bad. they take the fun out of it for people looking to do more than stick a price tag on their card, and actually like COLLECTING cards.Last edited by KSquaredd; 03-02-2008 at 08:12 PM.
