    Lebron will be getting PAID!!

Very few people ever go to college solely for educational purposes.

The question is: can Lebron live up to the hype

Why would I be jealous of him? I have more money right now then I would ever want. I get paid as well as do all athletes and people with jobs so I don't know why that's big news.

Lastly, "Very few people ever go to college solely for educational purposes."

What the? 90%+ people I know go to, or went to college for a good education. I believe all people who don't are idiots.

I'm going to have to disagree here.

MOST people DO go to college so that they can get a BETTER JOB or more money in the future. I cannot think of anyone who is doing it to learn more and not make more money.

Well, I believe learning more equates to making more, so therefore the better education brings you a better job. Unless you're an athlete.

Well college does not always guarentee a better education. There are some very intelligent people who never went to college and there are some very stupid people who graduated college.

And I wish having a better education got you a better job but in reality it doesn't.

    explain these 2...

    bill gate--college drop out
    michael dell---college drop out
    and a host of others

College is a rip off, it used to be the thing to do, I got a buddy who has yet to finish his degree, he has 2 years to go, but he is the director of IT as a Casino in Cali, making like 100K+ a year and he employs college grads paying them 32K a year.

Why is it that so many college grads are working outside of their degree field, doing something completely different, then what they wasted all that money on... explain why all those college college degree'd people working at the United states post office delivering mail or working behind the counter, making 40-50K a year.

explain why at the casino I worked at we had many folks with mba's that were dealing dice and all that requires is a clean record and 6 weeks class and make 40-50 K a year with opportunity for promotion.

    I could keep going

I just always got the notio you want to be well-rounded. It's different for Dell and Gates - they're both geniuses and IQs prove it. There are a ton of other people that should be going to college and are not :(

I am very well rounded but sitting in a class listening to some professor talking about something they know nothing about is a pain. I had this one class it was like a 5:40pm class and the prof had this attendance guideline and I was working full-time as a medic and I explained to here there would be days when I might run a little late because I might have a late ambulance call or my relief didn't get there early, and she was like oh well. I then went on to explain that 70% of the student going to night school worked full-time and some have different jobs than others, not that I was looking for a handout but just some understanding, if I turn in my work and pass all the classworks tests and quizzes who cares if I only comes to class on test day.

see because these prof's make no money they don't care, not all of them but a lot of them. even the ones at harvard and yale on make a around 40K.

you say they are exceptions to the rule, but there are a lot more than that, but you will never heard there name mentioned. Here is another thing I could buy a degree from a college for like $99, yeah it may be a non-accredited college or university, but I got this paper.

years and years ago, the onion skin paper was worth something now MBA's aren't worth the cost of the education. We don't have some of the highest unemployment rates in history for a reason.

and it isn't because you don't have the onion skin, paper.

Also, American people are so caught up with money and they are educated very little, nor do they care about it. I doubt LeBron cares about getting educated, and it will be all about money. That's just one of the points I was trying to make.

What happend if he paid the schools to teach him at home!!!!
