    Manufactured Letterman cards

Do you like them or do you feel they cheapen the product?

I like them and if they didn't produce as many as they have than I probably wouldn't own a couple because they would be too much. One thing I would like if they were letters from their actual name and if the tied in the team colors. There are actual lettermens from the players jersey but those are way out of my range so I settle. They are a cool idea and I hope they continue.

I like them also ... a lot of people though feel that companies are inserting them all to often these day's and that they water down the product but I'd much rather have a manufactured letterman than a sticker auto card #'d to the same print run.

Here is my set that I completed last year ...

I like them. Beats sticker autos. Have a few Woodleys. ALthough real jersey letters are the best like the Hot Prospects Holmes I have. The only problem with real letters is they do not always fit like the M. However at least they are off an authentic jersey. The manufactured ones all sized to fit :)

    all numbered 2/5 through redemption

I actually don't like these very much. They are usually nice looking cards and I love the real lettermen, but it's just another case of the hobby finding something that people like and then VASTLY over producing it. I like the idea of there only being a few lettermen out there, that way when you pull one, it's actually worth a ton. The manufactured lettermen are only worth a little more than a regular base auto. Yeah, only having a few makes it a lot harder to get one, but it makes it a much bigger deal when you do....that's the way I prefer it.

Aren't almost ALL of them manufactured, at this point? The only ones I can think of that are true, game-worn letters are Leaf Limited, Leaf R&S, Fleer Flair and National Treasures 07, from what I understand. All of the ones that're mass produced can be made to look like the real letters, (HP, SP Authentic), but I'm pretty sure most are just straight from the factory.

I have no idea if they wear them. Does not affect me and my pruchases. I will say Hot prospects are the same exact from the authentic jersey. I could care less if any of the patches are worn. Do not do the scratch and sniff. Either way sure beats sticker band autos that are signed by the sheet full

I like the way they look. This is my first time seeing something like this being that I just started back up in the hobby of collecting. When I was at Boscos buying some packs, a regular there pulled a redemption Namath lettermen.
