Recapping The First Round Of The Manly Men Bracket

Well, we've finished our first round, with 5 upsets.

(9)Paul Newman beat out (8) Matthew McConaghuey. Perhaps Newman was slated too low.

(9)The Rock beat out (8)Charlton Heston. I have no explanation for this other than the fact that most people here must not have seen Heston in his younger years.

(10)Pierce Brosnan beat (7)George Clooney. This isn't that shocking.

(13)Christopher Walken beat (4)James Garner. Still scratching my head about this one. Don't really think Walken is very "manly".

    and finally

(10)Steven Seagal beat out (7)James Caan. This is just plain preposterous.

Anyway, the next round will begin tomorrow!

    GET READY!

I think that's exactly the reason...most people have seen the Rock, few have seen Heston.

(13)Christopher Walken beat (4)James Garner. Still scratching my head about this one. Don't really think Walken is very "manly".

I think this is the same situation...all most people have seen of Garner is Maverick.

(10)Steven Seagal beat out (7)James Caan. This is just plain preposterous.

Just another reason I'm on the downhill slide of losing all hope for humanity!

Yeah, forgot about him. Although with the way this has gone so far he would have been beaten out in the first round by some jobber.

Yeah, I know, I know. He would have lost to Nicolas Cage.

    The movies Holden did were monsters;
    Stalag 17,
The Bridge on the River Kwai,
    The Devil's Brigade
    The Towering Inferno

    Just to name a few.
