    Agh, I hate parallels.

Well, as you can see, I am trying to be a Chris Richard super collector. However, parallel sets make super collecting very difficult. Here is why:

07-08 Bowman Elevation has 16 different game-used variations in the set.
07-08 Topps Co-Signers has 20 different versions of card #84

And now, it looks like Topps Sterling has several different versions as well.

Not only do parallels make player collecting difficult, they make set collecting impossible.

I understand that in order to get the nice game-used and auto pulls, they have to put a bunch in the packs, but 20 different versions of the same card seems kind of over-doing it, don't you agree?

Pretty much yep lol....Oscar Robertson has more cards from the last like 4 years based on parallels than anything from his play days until like 1999

Amen, today's parallels are becoming totally ridiculous.
All they do is change a little bit of color or just simply stamp the numbers on the card.
I miss those late 90s parallels...
skybox rubies and flair legacy collections are really beautiful even today...

I think Brett Favre had something like 1,790 different cards in the Topps Finest 06-07 set. That's too many.

I collect Mike Dunleavy, and he has 20 different cards from 04-05 and 05-06 Finest, of which eight are 1/1s. It's utterly ludicrous.

It's just insane. I wonder when they stop doing that. So many collector's stop collecting because of that.

I think Brett Favre had something like 1,790 different cards in the Topps Finest 06-07 set. That's too many.

Beckett lists 478 different cards of Favre for that set, of which 227 are 1/1's.

Of course, that's if you count each color of printing plate as a separate set, which I personally do not. In that case, there are 326 different Favre cards, of which 104 are 1/1's.
