Will anyone really be surprised if gas hits $5 in the next 2 years?
I have studied the oil industry for many years and with India and China adding new drivers at such a fast pace gas can only go up. Together, India and China have about 2.5 billion people. If just 10% of their population buys card over the next 2 years that is 250 million new drivers.
With the global economy bringing us closer together we are increasing the consumption of gas. 20 years ago a car was a luxury in third world countries. With the standard of living going up in third world countries and a middle class booming in China, India, South Korea and other countries is it any wonder that the demand is out-pacing the supply?
Americans are not helping the problem by buying SUVs and trucks over cars. We continue to buy bog gas guzzlers then complain about the price of gas. We learned absolutely nothing from the 1970s!

So true!!
Does anyone ever stop and think about all the gas that NASCAR uses, talk about a LOT of fuel each year.
