The biggest city in the draft gets the pick despite having only a 1.7% chance of winning. *coughriggedcough*

Either lady luck was on their side or something's up.

Bulls need to get themselves a coach.

Well imo, the 1st pick is usually always a bust pick when the player enters the NBA. For some reason it seems to be cursed or something. Greg Oden got picked first and then got injured for his entire rookie season. Even if he comes back, theres no way to determine how he would have done in the league had the injury never occured.

Andrea Barnani ended up being a bust and was obviously not the best one from that draft year.

Andrew Bogart was a bust in his draft year and still isn't doing anything productive for Milwaukee.

Joe Smith was picked over KG, Stackhouse and Rasheed Wallace and ended up not meeting his expectations.

Kwame Brown, Michael Olawakandi and Allen Iverson who was a pretty good pick for the sixers, but in that draft class having Kobe, Nash, Allen available....the "what if" possibilities are endless.

I hope that Chicago isn't cursed this year, because there are alot of good prospects that ARE picked #1 like Yao, Howard, Lebron, Shaq, and Duncan. But let's not all forget that you never know how the players are going to be when they are drafted into the league. Remember the guy named Sam Bowie? Well incase you don't.....he was drafted BEFORE Jordan.

The #1 is not always a bust, you can find just as many instances of the second, third, fourth pick being "busts." I'm glad the Heat got the second pick, I hope they get Derrick Rose. And the Heat will still suck, but they would have sucked even if they had gotten the first pick. You think Michael Beasley is THAT much better than anyone else in this draft that if the Heat didn't get him then it would be disaster. Please. The Heat are rebuilding, a strong free agent signing or the re-signing of Marion, with the addition of either Rose or Beasley and the return of Wade and the Heat have a strong threesome. Haslem is a good role player, and if the Heat can add some more of those types of guys then they'll be good again. And congrats to the Bulls, they really needed that #1 pick.

considering 2 former #1s shaq and duncan have 8 rings between them, getting the #1 pick is absolutely worth it.
