The reason people go nuts it's because the sheer thought of owning something nobody else has is amazing.

I agree.
But what I was saying is that it costs a card company the same amount of money basically to make a regular or to stamp it with a 1/1. Its actually a very smart business move by them.Selling all my cards here updated as of May------------> Hidden Content

Welp personally I have 2 authentic 1 of 1 cards. Both of them are of course of J.R. Redmond. They are both 1 of 1 auto's from 2000 Collector's Edge T3. Here are links to both of the pictures:

The main reason that I love them is cause I collect him. If I did not collect him then I would not go out of my way for them.
Even though a 1 of 1 is the most desired it can be one of the hardest to get a premium price on. Mainly due to the fact that most of the time only the person that collects that player or team would want that card. Now if there was almost the same type card numbered to 5 or even 10 there may be more people willing to pay a premium due to there would be more chances of someone trying to build that set. How many people do you actually know that are in the middle of building a set that is numbered 1/1 or 1 of 1? hehe. I would go as far as a card that is numbered to 25 would have a chance to bring premium due to the fact that there are more out there so the desire for more people to build a set is greater.
Welp with everything I said above may be correct or incorrect but those are my opinions. :)

Mookie..I see that you really enjoy collecting Redmond --- what was it that got you to collect him?
I love to collect Jerry Rice and Kobe -- simply b/c they both have the desire to be the best they can be, and prove it by working on their games in the off-season.

Hi E1,
I have 24 diff press plates of Errict Rhett (12 fronts/12 backs) &
8 (4 fronts/4 backs) of Eric Turner. Had to trade big to get them all, but was worth it to me :D
I have pulled only 1, a Jay Graham SC Plate

Tim:
Well, among other things, an auto'ed Wilson football of Bam Morris (lol...doesn't bother me now...) A couple Favre Jerseys,
Some Steelers GU/Inserts, and about 6 Multi colored Patches ( they were doubles from my collection) I traded about $400 total for the Rhetts & The Turners
GI:
Thanks for the welcome!! Goodland is a tiny little hell hole
90 miles NW of Indy. I have finally gotten a bit used to it,
I moved here from Southern California (Pomona). BIG difference!!
Peace,
Rima

OMG you are in the sticks and cornfields for sure, so you are close to boilermaker land, did you go to school here, because I can't figure out how you can get planted in the sticks like that.
