The blues are retail only, and pretty scarce, so they seem to be better than people think.

Wow. Are blues more rare than coppers you think?

Zen - tough to tell. They are inserted 1:6 Retail packs. Coppers are inserted at tougher rates in retail packs, but they are also inserted in Hobby packs, so I would guess the Blues are likely tougher pulls. I'd be willing to guess that the retail print runs aren't through the roof because there wasn't a huge supply at any one store, and it seems that once they sell out, they are gone for good.

My conclusion is that Blues may indeed be more rare than Coppers. Then again, if they were, I would think Topps would want to draw attention to this fact, so I'm surprised that they would not actually number the Blue Refs as well to highlight their scarcity.
