Nuff Said..pfftt.. I never challenged his generosity or character.Im saying the"VIP" status thing..is a thing based on money. Having money gets you places where not having money wont..Its bad enough 95% of the world works this way but now a website which members like me who have countless posts and numerous trades arent considered"worthy enough" for a contest because i dont have an extra 20 dollars. Economy sucks, moneys is hard to come by now. One of the few things i look forward too is this website. And now im sectioned off from part of it due to money..its kinda lame

Maybe you didn't question his character, but you also made some assumptions about him because he chose to spend $20 on a VIP membership. I hear you about money, but sometimes that's the way it is, I don't always have the $$ to spend on cards I want, but I can't always have everything I see. You're only sectioned off from one of many contests I've seen in my short time here on SCF, besides, snypers contests are usually the worst anyway !! (Kidding)

No i have joined most of the MLB contests, its just sucks where your hobby or "passion" which is of course a hobby run by money" like most hobbys " seems to get worse and worse. Prices of cards and boxes continue to go up and it seems like people only wanna trade with you if you own high end cards or super prospects..It seems like the whole hobby is becoming uber expensive and based on a status thing of what you own and what you can afford...i wish i could afford a high end box..hell i wish i could afford a low end box. just ranting a bit and sorry if i offended anyone its just disheartening when it seems the only way to get anywhere is with money.

While I can see your overall arguement, I just don't see how it applies to the case of this VIP offer. Try looking at it from Mike's perspective. Like I mentioned before, running a website isn't free. It's a "free" site, but it has to be run off of something. In this case donations. (VIP membership)
I think there might have been a misunderstanding also- I am not running this VIP contest. This is Mike's contest.

hey hey hey, i'm suppose to win! so i can get verlander's :) don't give anyone else false hope...lol just kidding
my opinion is honestly, who cares if they get a contest, they paid the money for it. its like the elite trading forum, you get enough trades your rewarded. if you pay $20 your rewarded, theres perks in every part of this forum. increased pm space, elite trading forum, and i believe once you hit 1000 you get vip status, and im already 1/2 way there :)Hidden Content
