First 2 drafts, need some opinions.

    1st league, 12 team

    QB: Hasselbeck
WR: Terrell Owens, Roddy White, Reggie Brown
    RB: Frank Gore, Jamal Lewis
    TE: Owen Daniels
W/R (position of weakness) Michael Turner, Reggie Williams, Bryant Johnson
    K: Birones
    DEF: Minnesota
Bench: Laurent Robinson, Bryant Johnson (sleeper) Jay Cutler, Robert Meachem, Deshaun Foster (handcuff) Antonio Pittman, Randy Mcmichael, Buffalo

Im weak at wideout, solid at rb's....may trade a few Wr's for RB's or something, need some dept.

    2nd team, 10 team league (qb's get 6 points per td...sooo LOL)

    QB: Tom Brady
    RB: Brandon Jacobs, Michael Turner
WR: Reggie Wayne, Roddy White, Jericho Cotchery (Favre :))
    TE: Jason Witten
    K: Shayne Graham
    DEF: New York Giants
Bench: Lavernus Coles, Matt Forte, Donte Stallworth, Sidney Rice, Jerious Norwood, Jason Campbell, Buffalo

What you guys think of the teams? I think team 1 is strong in a 12 team league, and i honestly think team 2 with the 6 point per td for all td's, this team will be a playoff team

    Team 1:

I foresee Jay Cutler getting into your starting QB position by Week 3. You're very weak at WR. I hope you got value on Roddy White. Jamal Lewis is a safe pick, Michael Turner could do big things, but I just can't see Frank Gore blowing doors off just because Mike Martz is calling shots.

    Team 2:

Just a comment on your 6 pts per TD for Brady--GET OVER IT. People acted the same way about Peyton Manning after his record breaking season. THERE IS ALWAYS A DROP-OFF. ALWAYS. He might be Top 5 again this year, or he might return to his form from two years ago--being an enormous disappointment. Randy Moss doesn't make him God.

How you managed to get a team in a 10 Team League that doesn't feature an actual stud running back befuddles me. You've got a few talented players, but in reality I'd be shocked if you go .500. You don't really even have the potential for a playoff run with that roster in a 10 Team League.

Thanks for your opinion, and for your drafts...did you draft with idiots lol??? Every team is solid at every position, its like know one knew what they were doing. Brady will have a drop off no doubt, but, i took him at 3...he will score more points than all the running backs available, so yes. Brandon Jacobs was my second i beleive? I consider him a stud. 1st team im actually trading Gore for a number 2 back and receiver, i didnt like him either honestly :9. I did win last year with another "yuck" team as you proclaim lol

I've never drafted a roster in a 10 Team that looked any different than those rosters. People have their favorites, I just fill out my roster and skip the hyped players from year-to-year.

Brandon Jacobs is not a stud. Studs don't miss five games and score four touchdowns in their first year starting. He's consistently inconsistent. If you had Bradshaw and Derrick Ward on your roster to cover his inevitable injuries, I would give it a thumbs up.

Yeah, but he had 1,000+ yds in limited aciton because of injuries, if he stays healthy...god forbid Ward is a FA

First off, there's been an average of about 17 1,000 yard rushers per season in the NFL from 1997-2007. It's no longer a triumph, it just shows that you're mediocre or slightly better than mediocre. Furthermore, 1,000+ yards, the majority of which came in a handful of games. The rest were duds. Since when is yardage important in fantasy football?

Also, after their Super Bowl run involving a RBBC approach, why is everyone convinced he'll be an every-down back?

1st team: I think you are going to struggle. I don't like Hasselbeck at all this year. He has no WR's to throw to right now. Your WR's are weak after TO. You may get lucky with Roddy White but Reggie Brown has been an underachiever his whole career. As far as RB's go, you have way too many question marks. Frank Gore has the potential to be a stud but Turner is unproven as a full time starter and Jamal Lewis is coming off a bounce back year. Can he do it again.

Team 2: I agree with the other poster on this thread. You have to expect a huge drop off in TD's from last year. Even if he goes back to his average of 30 TD's you are gaining 60 pts for the whole year with the scoring of 6 pts for a TD. I would never draft a QB in the 1st round anyway. Also, for a 10 team league, your receivers after Wayne are average at best. RB's could pose a problem for you in this league also.

This is just my opinion. I wish you luck with your teams regardless.

Uh...30 X 6 = 180 pts. Than if he gets 3,000 yards thats 4 pts per 100 yards, so an extra 120 points for a total of 300 points. At his minimums you say.

All of your eggs are in the Brady basket. Your team's success is contingent on him throwing for 50 TDs again. That's not going to happen, and you're not going to do much winning with that roster.
