Ricky Williams "officially" #1 RB on Miami Depth Chart
so Puff Puff Williams is back at #1 on the depth chart...amazing

Yeah its because Brown has the thumb problem. But he might make the best of it who knows.

Yeah Brown has the thumb injury, but Ricky has been looking better all throughout camp and preseason. Ricky was just as good or better than Ronnie before the knee and thumb injuries. Everything I've seen says Ricky will be getting half or more of the carries by mid season. I even heard a rumor that Ronnie might be traded....I don't think that will happen, but that's how big the team is on Ricky.

I read something that said he was placed first on the depth chart even BEFORE Ronnie was hurt. Ronnie looked great last year, not so much so far, and Ricky looks amazing this year. IF I were Ronnie, I would try to get traded really....where to? Who knows, Seattle needs a back, but thats not his style offense, maybe Arizona for when Edge is done. I dont really know, but I would be flaming if I played like Ronnie did last year and someone picks the spot?.......

Well I don't think he will be traded because Miami couldn't get good value for him coming off knee surgery. They might be able to get good value if he lights it up the first few games, but why would you want to trade him if he does? Maybe if he bombs Miami would be ok w/not getting much value for him, but they'll want to find that out first.

I remember last year Cam Cameron threatened to start Jessie Chatman because Ronnie Brown didn't have a great camp or preseason. Then with absolutely no O-line Ronnie tore it up before his injury. I do believe he is still recovering from knee surgery and is not 100%. By midseason he should be dominating again. Hopefully in the meantime Ricky won't get his boob stepped on again.

Yup - Ricky was gonna be #1 regardless of any thumb injury
By all accounts he has been far and away the most impressive player in camp
Personally I think this is the best case situation for Miami. I know Brown is active, but realistically he can't be 100% recovered from the ACL injury. Having had ACL surgery myself, I think its amazing he's even at the point he is - but there is also a huge mental hurdle he is going to have to get over....which is why I think it takes most players a full season before you see them back to the player they were (that is if they dont reinjure/ or injure something else trying to play)
Now they don't have to rely on Brown and push him too much....which should allow him to fully recover. They can get what they can from Ricky, and if he messes up or flames out, Brown will be ready to go
