BGS 9.5 Steve Young '86 Topps
I have the forementioned card listed on Ebay and I'd like to get some of your thoughts on this card. What do you all think I could expect or hope to get for it? When I bought this card back in May of this year I expected to have it for many years, however I have recently decided to go back to college in November and even thought I don't need the money now I think it would be smarter to have the cash available in case of an emergency.
Your honest opinions will be appreciated.
Regards,
Michael

p.s. I don't expect to get 3,500 for it :) I like the option to field offers vs a no reserve auction.

Im not sure what to expect, I have never seen one before. I know his BGS 9s sell right on par with rices, and sometimes outselling Rice. For some reason his 86 topps rc is extremely hard to find in good shape. I think you should be able to get 1k for it at least.

I paid $2100 for it in May so I won't be selling it for less than that. Of course I'd like to make money on the card but I would only settle for the original price, not less than. If I end up keeping it that's fine but I'm feeling like the extra $$'s in savings is a better idea for me right now.

He knows someone, that card on the top looks like crap, its a 8-9 imo at best...wow, or ive seen people bust out cards that were graded and put in diff ones...ive seen that scam and someoen got frauded big time, it was omeone on beckett...i dont even know how people would do that honestly lol, but oh well...not saying he did this, but no way that card should be a gai 9.5...just opening up all avenues for opinions

The Montana looks fine for the grade while I'd avoid anything GAI due to trimmed cards getting graded and tampered slabs.
Tough call on what the Young will go for. It's a really nice card and hard to find in such a high grade with awesome subs. You just need a Young collector with the funds to want it. If it was a PSA 10 you'd have the benefit of the Young and the registry collectors.

An update for you guys, the best offer I have recieved was for 2400.00 I had to decide within 48 whether to accept or decline and I turned it down since the auction had 8 days left on it. I have 12 watchers on it but they had all subscibed to it in the first few days. Not much action other than some lowball offers that got auto-declined.
I'll probably re-list one more time before making it a no-reserve auction.
