    O'Reilly is a Republican

It is so funny how much O'Reilly and others in the media claim to be "independent, Fair and Balanced", yet they sound like rock start groupies for the McCains and Palins.

Go to O'Reilly website and pay attention to how lavish the praise is on Palin and McCain.

Lets see how they sound after Obama and McCain debate. (I feel like this thread has been done before)

Of course O'Reilly will favor McCain and Obama. He is a conservative. Would you expect him to vote for Obama? At least O'Reilly invites Obama and McCain onhis show. People like Oprah have Obama on her show 2 times then suddenly shut down access to Republicans.

O'Reilly is a talking head who states over and over that he is a conservative. He lays it out there. What most Fox News bashers don't understand that O'Reilly does NOT report the news. He provides analysis. CNN reports the news with ex- Bill Clinton staffers and claim to be unbiased. I can live with Olbermann being biased on his own show. I just have issues with Olbermann being the reporter from the DNC and RNC and being so biased. On your own show you can be as biased as you wish. But when you put on your reporter hat you should be unbiased.

Can you show me a Fox News reporter that has been unbiased? Telling me Hannity and O'Reilly are biased means little. That is the intent of their shows and Hannity concedes equal time to Combs.

Did you really just compare O'Reilly to Oprah?

That is like comparing apples and oranges.

O'Reilly is a news journalist, Oprah is a talk show host.

Also just for the record, Colmes gets walked on by Hannity. You peaked my interest in them so I have been watching them almost every day for a week/week and a half and Hannity just talks over anyone who begins to disagree with with.

Colmes could just as easily voice his opinions but Hannity is much more convinced of his views. Good for him. He dominates that show.

Fox News isn't balanced. But it is fair. There are no lies, and they try to have senators, congressman, and candidates from both parties on regularly.

MSNBC and CNN have people from both parties, just as regularly as Fox. And don't give me BS about being fair, they are the most hypocritical news station. I hate to show a clip from the Daily Show for a political argument but in this situation it works. (And its loaded with Fox News clips)

Who has a bigger audience? Not even close. Oprah is an entertainment show as is O'Reilly. Also, both have had Obama on their show, but only one is willing to have the other side. :)

The amount of viewers has nothing to do with the point I was making.

You can call O'Reilly an entertainment show all you want but the fact is he works for a news network and his show is responsible for covering the news. Due to that he's much more obligated to cover both sides.

Oprah's show has very little to do with news or politics.

When Bill has a show where he gives the audience his favorite things perhaps then a stronger case can be made.
