I had switched out the original pickups for DiMarzio Evos, which cost me $100 a piece. Not to mention that I reworked the fretboard and whammy bar. In total, the value of my guitar was well over $1,000

I've bought a lot off of him including an Avant Premiere Red just like that Hawk and i've never had any problems. But if it doesn't go too high you should still go for it.
