this is almost comical! a moped is dangerous? those things to my knowledge are fairly slow. so they're saying it would be alright to injure his ankle in a car accident with the same exact sitautions occuring...athletes, this is what happens when you pay a person who plays basketball 66 million dollars

Haha what a moron...I hope that exciting moped ride was worth it. Why risk your contract/career over something so stupid? Im sure all that will happen tho is the team will fine him.

I'm just thinking what's stupider: Monta Ellis and his moped or Jason Collins and his golfcart

Do you really believe this is what actually happened? Lol...

It was pretty clear he wasn't injured playing ball. His injury almost never happens in basketball. The long-term stability of the ankle comes into question, and who knows if Monta will get back to his normal, explosive self.

He should be fined. Voiding the contract or renegotiating is out of the question at the moment. However, at some point I think his contract should be restructured to 3-33 with incentives/team options that get him his original 6-66. That way, it depends on his long-term play which would discount the potential effects of the injury.

    Oh, Monta...

    Oh, Monta...

It was pretty clear that the accident was not sports related. Now we know the accident details.

Warriors have the right to tear up his contract, according to the article. But they won't. The contract definitely needs to be restructured.
