    Topps Printing Plate Help! :)

Last year, Topps had Stadium Club Full Court Press Relics. And I choose to collect the set for certain players. I collected Richard Jefferson and Elton Brand. With Brand, I got 4 out of the complete 6, but I have the last two coming! With Richardson, I am a little behind. I have 3, with one coming. :)

Anyways, this year, I wanna try something different and decided to move on Printing Plates!

    My questions are:

    1. Is there a list of players for the printing plates?
    2. What are the different 1/1s? Yellow, Black, White, Platinum? etc, etc.

    Thanks!

    1. I know there is some kind of feature in Beckett's "My Organize" where you can search for all 1/1's of a player. Maybe that will help?

    2. The most common printing plate colors are - magenta, cyan, yellow, and black. There are also "Superfractor" and "Platinum" cards, but these are more rare than a printing plate.

    Here's an example of a Superfractor -

Thanks for the help. Dang... 6 1/1s? *sigh*

That is a very hard set.

Thanks for helping. Beckett apparently doesn't have the 08/09 out yet.

So I researched a little more, and came to a conclusion that any cards from the base set has the printing plates, platinum, and superfractor.

    Am I correct?

I misunderstood your question. I didn't know you were asking about a specific set. I would assume they have the 4 plate colors (magenta, cyan, black, and yellow) and either a platinum or superfractor. I don't think I've ever seen a product where they have a Platinum AND Superfractor in the same set. For example, Topps has the 4 plate colors and a "Platinum" for each base card, and Topps Chrome has the 4 plate colors and a "Superfractor" for each base card. In your case, I'm not sure which 1/1's are in Topps Stadium Club.

I completely misunderstood your answer as well. :) Ha.

Anyways, I am not decided on what product/sets of 1/1 to collect. I was going to start a Richard Jefferson from 08/09 Topps, seeing how Ebay had a Black plate and a platinum, but I lost on the black. :( Anyhow, right now, I am interested in Topps 1/1s of my other P.C. players, but depending on the other products of this year, (Chrome, Stadium Club?, etc.) I might wait before buying/trading. Right now, I just want to know how many I should expect. Which I'm guessing 5?

Thanks for answering though, great help!

    hey
these are the only colors that you will ever find for a printing plate magenta, cyan, yellow, and black because thats all you need to make every other color. But as a follow up I would say that if you are trying to do a master set from topps you are going to need the base, Gold, Black, all four printing plates and a Platinum 1/1.

    Hope that this helps!

    Zach
