Hello and thanks for watching the vid. At the moment he intends to hold onto all of the cards. At least until next weekend. One thing I know for sure is that his boy is Felix Jones so those definitely wouldn't be leaving his side. But the Spurrier is a definite possibility. I'll be in touch if indeed it does turn out to be tradeable.

NFL 2008 Press Pass Legends Product Review

The triple mini boxes comprised of the master box were real neat as it featured three different players on each box. I really anticipated the arrival of this box as I loved the idea of having a box comprised of strictly rookies and retired veterans and future hall of famers all in their school uniforms. Once you break through the plastic wrap around each mini box you find 6 packs with 5 cards in each pack. You can feel the excitement in the air as the first old school/new school pack was broke.

Description

To be honest the cards were nice but just not super appealing. They are on a black border with silver trim around the card. The trim has a bit of a vintage feel to them. The players name is boxed by the silver trim centered at the bottom of the card and a logo of the school’s team is placed in one of the upper corners.

If the player is currently playing his photo is in color with the background in black and white. Also on the back is his school stats.



If the player is retired/hof his photo is in black and white as well as the background. Also the back of the card shows a brief description of what the player did that was special at the school he attended plus shows the years played pro.



There are 4 color numbered parallels…

and Platinum 1/1 (of which we didn’t pull 1)

Then there were these sweet All Conference Inserts which show the player with their conference and school in the white background.



These cards were real nice which spotlight two players from the same school side by side.



This was our hit of the box and is a parallel to the insert set above. The Alumni Association dual autographs featuring two players signatures from the same school.



A real interesting looking insert set is the Legendary Legacy cards. These cards feature strictly the best HOF’s in the game while spotlighting them in their respective school’s uniform.

Also seeded into packs are these autographs also a variation of the card above. Legendary Legacy Signatures.



Probably my favorite part of this product is the Saturday Swatches. The blue to white color scheme with the team logo and a jersey swatch in the middle of that is very attractive. There are some real nice patch variations out there as well, of which we didn’t get lucky enough to pull.



Finally are the Saturday Signatures. Only the best school players are featured in these cards where they signed the cards ON CARD under a nice gold signature script. Some players even took the time to specially sign the card (like the Brohm below).

Comments


Overall, we received all the Hits as expected. The box was a lot of fun to see the old with the new players. It was a quick decision to not go after a second box as originally planned. Maybe the addition of a couple more jersey cards would have helped. Or perhaps even a single patch hit. I guess beggars can’t be choosers as we did get what the box said it would give.
