Nobody circles the wagons....
Like the Buffalo Bills!
It's been a while since us Bills fans have had anything to cheer about - but it's about time. First 3/4-0 start since 1992, and the team is starting to generate the local buzz once again.
If anyone is from or around Buffalo you know that this city and the surrounding areas are just begging for a successful team. When the Buffalo Sabres had there run a couple years ago it was amazing. Over 18,000 in the arena, and 10,000 outside watching on the big screen - and the buzz was insane.
So 4-0 going into Arizona, with a shot to be 5-0 going into the break (I think the Arizona game is a fairly tough one - but it depends on how much pressure the defense gets on Warner, since he does have an issue holding onto the call) - and I couldn't be happier. If Boldin plays, I might even sway the advantage over to the Cards since McGee is going to be out, and while I like McKelvin, he is a rookie and sometimes makes dumb rookie mistakes.
For the first time in a while we MIGHT have a franchise QB, as well as an good running back tandem (Lynch is good, but our line is not the best run blocking line by far) with Lynch and Fred Jackson (pleasant surprise with Freddie, lol). It seems the Bills will re-sign Evans, and if Hardy can contribute a little more during the season and beyond, I think we have the makings of an above average offense to go along with our good defense and very good special teams.
On the defensive side of the ball - WOW - I never knew one player could have such an impact. Not only has this player made the DLine better, but has made the LB's and the secondary better as well. I was a little hesitant when I heard the Bills were trying to trade for Marcus Stroud, but so far 4 games in, he looks like an absolute BEAST! Not only that, but Kyle Williams (5th round pick, lol) is having a pro bowl caliber season so far as well - since teams have to double team Stroud. Then as stated above it trickles down, as Paul Posluszny and new addition Kiwaki Mitchell are all over the place due to the OLine / blockers not being able to man handle our Dline like they did last year with Tripplet the midget .
Then there is my favorite defensive player (and only behind Edwards as favorite player on the team) - Donte Whitner, man I love this guy. He gives 110% all the time, and is an amazing leader on and off the field. Weekly he has the defense over to his house to eat, get massages, and go over film - as well as housing Leodis McKelvin since he was new to the area and didn't have any family here. If Edwards is the face of the new Bills, I think Whitner is the heart!
Well enough homer blabbing for me, just felt like starting a thread about the Bills since it seems most people are over looking them - and well while I don't think they are Super Bowl contenders right now, it will be nice for them to make the playoffs for the first time in 9 years

Doing well so far at 4-0.....they have done a pretty good job of drafting and building the team the last couple of years. I like Trent Edwards also, seems to have a good handle on managing the game and staying out of trouble, an upgrade over JP Losman but then again he was not really doing much either.

Donte Whitner
Ko Simpson
Kyle Williams
Brad Butler
Ashton Youbuty
Keith Ellison
Backup - McCargo (been kind of a disappointment so far)
2007 draft starters:
Trent Edwards
Marshawn Lynch
Paul Posluszny
Derek Schouman (splitting time with Royal, but will be starting by end of season)

Great post and yep, it's been a good season for us Bills fans so far - and the best in quite while !
The good thing is they've managed to win games this year without playing particularly well - just think how good they could be if it all clicks.
The thing I'm impressed by is their heart - I reckon, of this year's wins, last year, they'd have lost away to Jax, not driven to beat the Raiders and would possibly not have been able to recover against the Rams first half onslaught.
But , hey...
Let's just enjoy the moment.

I bet scholp and the bulldog on wgr are finally keeping their mouth shut. Howard Simon and Jeremy White(total jackass) were very critical the years I lived there. Which was till June of this year. 2 of the wins are over 2 playoffs teams . They even each won a game in the playoffs. Very Impressive!

Just goes to show what a joke the draft experts can be. The Bills got blasted for that 2006 draft. lol

Oh yeah they got blasted for taking Whitner that early in 06, but it was Levi's first draft, and he point blank said that they wanted to draft smarter players.
As for the comment about Jeremy White Wheeler, I agree 100% - this guy is the biggest bandwagon fanboi on the radio in Buffalo, and he just jumps to whoever the biggest star is all the time. For years he was a huge JP fan and supported him throughout - until Edwards played last year and then he started to get on the Edwards bandwagon.
