Little word of advice on the price. You are quoting individual card prices. The set itself books at only 40.00 and the insert sets go between 12.00-15.00 apiece.

Ok thanks for the advice. Thats why I continue to be amazed by this site. BV, BV, BV, BV, BV......really means nothing to me either. Beckett is just a guide. The set is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Its also worth the time I took to put it together. The Mach 03 #1,2 and 3 are almost impossible to find thats why they book so high. Anyway I know its a dead issue so I won't beat it to death either. But I bet if you had something that had a BV of say $500.00 (hypothetically) you wouldn't take $250.00 for it. The combined worth of what is in this set is high - so therefore the asking price. If someone wants to break it up and sell it, more power to them. I usually deal in very high end stuff. I just happened to have some racing stuff and had enough of it to have this set. Anyway.....enough said. Thanks again for your advice.

Unlike the stick n ball sports collectors, the racing community generally does not emphasize BV for trades or sales. I recently sold a Signature Series Dale Earnhardt Jr. BV 350.00 for 200.00, and second one I pulled was traded for a 150.00 Triple Glove Rousch, and a dual Garage Graphs auto Dale Earnhardt Jr./Tony Eury Jr., bv at 350.00, sold for 190.00 and a door numbered Edwards Red Cover card. To put a value on the time you took to put it together is ridiculous, as that would mean you're not collecting for the fun and satisfaction, but rather for the almight $$$. While it is tru that Beckett is a guide, it's information is collated from the market, which would mean that they gathered their information on the overall average of sales across multiple platforms{ebay, retail stores, etc.} Most of the racing community is well aware of what it might take to complete sets and or value of sets or individual cards. I recetly purchased a complete 2007 VIP Pedal to the Metal set for slightly more than what you are asking for this base set, and the VIP Pedal to the Metal set are all numbered to 50.

see in racing, it is not difficult to put sets together. i have sold master sets with over 150 cards for less than $40. if you are really serious about selling that set for that high, i have one i would sell you for $175. i am not trying to be mean or sound condescending, but the racing folks don't have much trouble putting sets like these together. we all help eachother out finishing these sets. you may have that one for a looooooong time.

but i wish you good luck and hope you do find someone that will meet your terms.
