hate to say it but clinton and bush sr. were the reasons for 9/11 thus the iraq war...not george w....clinton was too scared to fight the terrorist groups in the middle east and only 9 months after he was out of office 9/11 happened....funny how that is g.w. bushs' fault...i will also be laughing if obama becomes president how we turn into a monarchy...if you need a definition on monarchy here you go:http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/monarchy .

Question to the OP - Are you voting for McCain or against Obama? It seems that you are always posting negative articles and sentiments about Obama and never really say too much about McCain. Not saying this is necessarily a bad thing, just wondering

And to the idea that Obama will turn the US into a monarchy. Isn't that what people were saying about President Bush when the Patriot Act etc. were coming out? Look how that turned out. Surprise, no King yet. It's too bad fearmongering has become the most popular campaign tactic these days

I think based off of where you got the information alone says it all. I won't even read it because of where that information comes from.

aWood with all due respect, you have no idea what my brother wanted. We were poor and lived with an abusive father. We had 2 choices in life. Be good enough and get a scholarship or go to the Army. My brother wasnt good enough. Luckily I was. He had nowhere to go so it was either the Army or the street. My brother didnt want to be in Iraq. Keep believing that all of our soldiers want to be there fighting. Im so so glad that our President send all those young men and women to fight. What are we fighting for again?? Are we a better country now than we were when we entered the war? I think things have gotten worse

that's a good point im sure that was very hard to grow up in. fortunately i dont have to experience that. but a big chunk of people in the armed forces want to fight for their country. but there are some and more like your brother who go to the army to make decent money out of HS and to get free college which isn't bad but you have the risk of dying which i don't know anyone who isn't scared of dying. i feel for you, back in 01?? when they started in iraq i was like 9 so i have no clue about any of that stuff. and no one knows the real reason we are in iraq in the 1st place, could be a good one no one knows about, could be a bad one no one knows about. i think we were trying to be the nice people in the world and help a country run by a worse than hitler guy who kills his own people. now that we have done that i think we should get out. but that's obviously not my choice...

I'm not a moderator and maybe I am out of line but I think it would be best for all if you walked away from this one. It could needlessly ugly, I really don't think you meant to go there in your posts, I just think it might.

Also since the "article" that started this thread has been traced back to snopes.com maybe we should just shut this one down? Continuing to comment on something that has been debunked seems sort of pointless to me...again - not a moderator....
