Political Forum - New Direction!
Guys,
The political forum has become an attack ground and I take a big chunk of the responsibility for this. So, I'm going to remove myself from this forum. It will be moderated much tighter from today on. I enjoyed the political discussions! I don't know a SINGLE SCF member that has been involved in this discussion that doesn't love their country. We can all get heated at times and personal attacks start to come out. I'll be the first to admit that my passion for politics and my country can get me going and get me in trouble.
So, keep up the debates! Keep them on topic and away from attacking members. I do NOT want to close this forum down because I believe in free speech and political discussion. Enjoy the forum and let's set the political debate into a new direction.

dude...this forum is gonna die without you on here...and you know this...people want a chance to take jabs at each other, and being the owner with a firm stance makes you an easy target...speaking for myself, it's never anything personal
attacks are a part of politics...we all just take our cues from the two guys running for office...negative after negative, that's all i see
if you dont keep twisting words and numbers to make your point, then nobody's gonna have anything to argue about...and if members are gonna start getting banishment points for silly stuff in this section, then there's no reason to come in here anymore

Mike, I hate to see you leave the forum, but I definitely think it needs a new direction. I have dramatically reduced my participation in the forum lately because of the negative atmosphere it has taken on. I used to post in 75% of the threads, but now it's more around 25% because a lot of them I know are just going to turn into flame wars.
Red, I completely disagree with you...respectfully of course. The one of the major problems most people have with politicians is that they resort to attacking each other instead of providing solutions. And that is exactly what this forum has denigrated to. I say we don't take a cue from the nation's politicians. I say we be a model of how it's supposed to be, instead of a reflection of the sad state of affairs that it is.

Why? Owner or not you have the right to your view and to express it. Your view has no difference on this site. I say stay.
