Local Card Shop
Went to the card shop today just to pick up a few things and a couple packs of cards.Well the guy tells me that he doesnt sell packs anymore except for the CHEAP STUFF like Topps and upperdeck b/c people where trying to pick the hot packs out so from now on hes only selling boxes.I was pissed been going there for years and now he wants to just change the rules.So I didnt buy anything.I didnt have $110.00 for a box of Hot Prospects.Just want 4 packs.I just was mad that the guy wont sell packs anymore so now I have to find a new shop that will.just had to blow some steam off.Anybody elses shops just sell boxes???

thats ridiculous, he could just keep the boxes behind the counter and watch people pick the packs out

Yeah, one of the shops around here does that too. It sucks.

i agree.just watch them from pack searching or the store owner chooses for you at least.

all the card shops closed up here, except one and he quit selling cards period. only sells sports related stuff now.

i had gone to a shop for a while where the owner would let his "good customers" sit there and pick through packs....example(2007 spx baseball...one of his "good customers" would come in almost everyday pick out a fresh box and take the patch out of the box every time)......so i never really used to buy packs from him unless they were from fresh boxes

all the hobby shops in my area try to unload boxes on you and are very relutant to sell by the pack.

I just think it sux I agree watch the people and dont let them root threw them.
