i'm a Obama guy and i'd like to see what arguements are out there.

i'm happy to debate but keep it civilized.

The reason I'm not voting for Obama is because I don't see a lot of foresight in his plans. I read off a list of programs he's mentioned creating, one of which includes some form of government healthcare, and I don't see where he will get those funds. If 95% of Americans are getting a tax break, he has three options for funding:

    1) Renig on his campaign promise and raise taxes
    2) Raise taxes on the top 5% to an exorbitant amount, which will cause them to cease their spending--dropping tax revenue
    3) Forget the programs he mentioned...I wish...

I think Obama really believes in what he says, but I don't see where all this money his coming from. His ideas of expanding the government's power are identical to the birth of socialism, whether he wants to admit it or not.

I voted for Bob Barr. He likes freedom.

So if you're a Ron Paul supporter, how did you end up voting for Obama? The ONLY thing they have in common is putting an end to the Iraq War.

As for why I'm voting against Obama, I don't believe in Socialism. His idea for universal health care and the redistribution of wealth (raising taxes for the rich and doing away with/decreasing taxes for the poor) are both perverted forms of Socialism. I believe people already expect far too much for nothing and he would only greatly increase that.

Exactly! Ron Paul is very anti-government. He's a libertarian in reality. Obama and Paul are pretty much on opposite ends of the spectrum. If you're a Ron Paul supporter, the next best option is Bob Barr.

I am not a socialist first of all, I don't know how anyone likes Obama for that simple reason. I also dont think any of Obamas crappy programs will ever work, mainly national healthcare. Can you imagine hospitals being run like the post office? And also, who will want to be a doctor anymore? I know I changed my career path from medicine to engineering when I heard of Obamas stupid healthcare plan...

    Vote Bob Barr!

I like some things about Obama, but a couple too many of his policies don't fit my beliefs compared to the third party candidate Barr, who matched the most. I have checked and compared platforms of all candidates running, major and minor, to come to my decision.
