NBC Cancels Two Series
EW.com: Breaking: NBC Axes 'Lipstick,' 'Enemy'
I haven't watched either of these. Lipstick Jungle looked like a lame version of Sex and the City (which I despise with the fiery passion of 1,000 suns) and Brooke Shields is horrid.
My Own Worst Enemy looked somewhat intriguing, but seemed like the kind of plot that NBC would completely screw up.
Anybody actually watch them? What do you think?

Sweet Lord, that frees up a TiVo spot. My wife watches Lipstick, and they kept changing the time, so somehow it records on both TiVos sometimes. Wonder what NBC is going to do with that coveted Friday 10PM timeslot.

Never watched either, because almost all primetime shows stink now-a-days. Maybe they'll put something halfway decent on...lol

I saw the pilot of My Own Worse Enemy and it wasn't bad...but did feel a little off. Like you said, My Own Worst Enemy looks intriguing, but it just never felt right (Atleast the pilot didn't).
What NBC needs to realize is they aren't going to get a ratings juggernaut anytime soon in that time slot. They had S60 there which was hyped like crazy and got good reviews and they couldn't get the ratings. Then last year Journeyman, which was a good show, couldn't muster up the ratings to keep it around.
NBC doesn't have a single top 10 primetime show these days(Except for Football). What they need to do is just put on quality shows that they can make cheaply (IE: Life), instead of shows other studios make and they air. (IE: S60).

They better not cancel The Office. I'll get a posse together.

They won't. It's cheap to make, gets some of the best ratings for an NBC show, in syndication, and does very very well on Itunes and DVD. Carrell signed on for 3 more seasons over summer, and they are doing a spin-off with Amy Poehler so you will be getting plenty more Office. No need to fear, its not going anywhere.

NBC does have three of the best prime time shows on TV though...The Office, My Name Is Earl, and 30 Rock...really those are about the only shows on network TV I deem fit to watch.
