Patches...Why don't they match?

I've been trying to expand my PC lately so I've been researching 'patch' cards.
What a mess!!!
When are these companies going to figure it out and start matching patches to card photo?
I've looked at numerous patches and here are my findings.

2006-07 Bowman Elevation Power Brokers Patch

Single - Match
Single - Match
Single - Match

Double - Match/UnMatch
Double - UnMatch/UnMatch
Double - UnMatch/UnMatch

Triple - Match/UnMatch/UnMatch
Triple - Match/UnMatch/UnMatch
Triple - Match/UnMatch/UnMatch



2007-08 SPx Winning Materials Combos Patch - Carmelo/Kenyon

Double ?/50 - UnMatch/UnMatch
Double ?/50 - UnMatch/UnMatch



And the winner for screwed up 'patch' placement goes to ......

2006-07 UD Black Patches

Single ?/15 - Unmatch
Single ?/25 - Unmatch

Kenyons wearing the teams 2nd road option/swingman jersey on these and UD insisted on using just the home and normal road ones.


The list goes on and on, I could cite at least 5 more instances.
Seems like too, the more expensive/multi-patched/low numbered the card the worse these companies do.
Makes it kinda' hard to drop $10-$20-$30 on these type of cards when no-ones really putting any thought into the finished product.
Just kinda' upsetting especially on that higher end stuff.

Sorry gang, that's my rant for the day.
Don't even let me get started on Denver cards with NJ patches.

Yep, and same with alot of jersey cards too! Doesn't make sense to me either!

Yep jersey cards too.
I think with the patches they're doing what we want them to do with jersey pieces, and that's match them to photo.
But with patches it's always the opposite color is the match.

You're not alone. I also complained about this in an earlier thread. Cassell was pictured on my 08 Treasury GU card in a Celtics uni, but the patch is blue. I'm hoping to find a color blind collector that can't tell the difference.
