Ok, well like I said, I wasnt generalizing ALL poor people. Just like that example didnt describe ALL Katrina victims. But if you divided all the money in the U.S. evenly, then 90% of the poor people now would become poor later on, 90% of the rich now would become rich later on, and then the other 10% of each would probably switch.

And then you pulled out the race-card.

another theory that you have no evidence to prove....but you are entitled to your "opinion"

lmao @ pulling the race card....alright man

You really cant get the "evidence" you're looking for. Only through examples, which I gave a very good one. But at least this time you didnt take what I said out of context. Thanks for that.

i really dont know how i took anything out of context...i just see what you said as lumping all poor people together as people who would rather buy dvds than food....or all poor people are poor because they make bad choices

Ok, once again, read a little more carefully. I'm not saying ALL poor people are like that, but a lot are. That is taking what I said out of context (saying I meant one thing when I said another).

You're right, I said "they", not "all".

But originally I said "people will still be poor". Meaning that if you put everyone on equal grounds, there will be some who work and some who dont. Those who dont will more than likely be poor. Also, those who dont manage their money properly will struggle if not lose everything.

Even if we "spread the wealth around", people will still be poor. They would just waste the extra money instead of using it to pay bills.

This is my original post. "People will still be poor" doesnt mean all poor people would still be poor, just that there will still be poor people.

And then "they" means that those that are still poor would probably be wasting their money instead of using it to get back on their feet.

If people paid their bills and tried to live within their means then they would not have a problem. People taking out a dozen credit cards and maxing them out is not to live it is greed. People getting mortgages they can not afford is their own fault.

    amen, amen.

I have turned down half a dozen jobs in the last month.

You are exceptionally fortunate. As a recent college graduate with a useless liberal arts B.A., wasted hours accumulating a worthless 3.75 G.P.A., and no working experience, I'd be very happy to take a job that pays $8/hour right now. I have submitted well over 40 resumes and applications for basic clerical jobs, but have only conducted two interviews. I was turned down in both for lack of experience.
