I'm not even going to get into a discussion on this thread as a whole, as I'll probably end up irritated
I think it's ok, becasue Jordan got those kind of calls. The NBA has decided there are two classes of players, the stars and everyone else. My question with those calls is why is he guarding the guards? Isn't he a big man? Why is he not in the paint? Maybe I don't know the game situation as well as you guys.

KG has played every position, and can play every position quite effectively, although his best is PF. Plus, teams switch the defense around...so, Doc decided that Ray Allen or Rondo weren't getting the job done on whomever, so he switched it around so KG is guarding the PG or SG, or whomever is having a big night.

Like I said, I didn't understand the game situation. Thanks for the input. I'll be queit now on this thread.

And there's been numerous articles published about how Garnett's actions are questionable....

    Here's one of them:

I used to respect him. Now I just think he's a total punk who likes to pick on smaller players. Real classy, Kevin.

No need to be quiet on it - just explaining as best as I could, from years of watching him play in Minny.

KG's an emotionally excitable player, and he just needs to remain calm more often. Excitement can be great, but it can also get the best of players in some situations. Kobe and LeBron have done irritating things as well; even a mellow guy like Duncan got fed up with ref Joey Crawford (although I totally understood why in that sitatuon, lol).

although after i thought about it, you could probably get some videos of any players less finer moments and bash the heck out of him, im sure kg does good, he does need to cool it sometimes.

KG is a total punk. He needs to incite things like the situations mentioned to get his blood boiling. KG is definitely "unusual" mentally.

In a way, it is sad he does things like this to keep up his mindset. One would think, since he is a 4/5, he would do this kind of thing predominantly in the paint where people get rough more often. Not too many current big men have a history this evident of 'going after' guards and/or guys perceived as soft.

Remember when KG got punked by Anthony Peeler? I think he learned his lesson ever since then...Remember when he threw the ball at McDyess (not exactly an enforcer) and ran away like a wuss?

I just think KG's "toughness" in this realm of the game is overrated, and simply magnified by showcases of intensity (i.e. him mouthing off or trying to intimidate), which displace that characteristic as toughness in the minds of some fans as well as BSPN. There is a difference and discrepancy between toughness and intensity...

When I first read through this thread, that was my initial thought, so you made a great point.

Didn't you guys hear? KG wants a new nickname. Big Ticket is gone. He is now The Intimidator...or The Instigator, depending upon which side you're on.
