i posted this is one thread but i guess i should post it here too... look at maple19, Mike shares ALL his information and NEVER asks for anything in return, if everyone was like him this would be the most fun website in the world. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I mean really because of Mike I have had a lot more successes, not just through email, but he answers all my questions too about home addresses, spring training, and so forth. Another person who makes this a great place is indyreds. He also helps people for nothing in return. He showed me kristine lily's email address for free, because i am a big soccer fan/player. Also palantri has helped me out a lot. He updates the emails and is a very nice guy. He sticks up for me and other who are fans of players and doesn't ask for anything in return. Thank you all three of you and the others who i didn't mention for helping me out, and I wish I could do something for you in return

I think it's funny how people on here all beg for e-mail addresses, but yet can't just go out and search for the addy's yourself. All the time you guys spend on here begging, you could be out searching for e-mails. I started e-mailing at the beginning of September, and when I started people would never share e-mails or be willing to help me out. I figured by spending a little bit of time, you can easily find lots of e-mails. I've been doing this for 5 months and my successes include Dwyane Wade, Michael Redd, Billie Jean King, Troy Aikman, Caron Butler, Michael Young, and many more. And there is people like Craan, who have gotten Kobe, Adrian Peterson, Ichiro, Alexander Ovechkin, Wayne Gretzky, Mariano Rivera, and more all via e-mail. I have recently stopped posting my successes on here after the number of people begging me for e-mail addresses. Good Luck to all of you on your E-mail TTM's and regular TTM's.

Pandora's Box has been opened again.
Fella's I come in peace, only wanting to spread the wealth to everyone.
Guy's I am torn. You are obviously free to post whatever you want. Honestly it is nice that you are all willing to share. I admire that fact, I truly do. But, I also see that there is a fatal fallacy in posting and sharing personal email addresses on a public forum where the potential visitors to the site is unlimited. Most email addresses are not set up for fanmail/requests, but many times they are willing to accommodate an occasional fan request. Posting the address only leads to increased requests, which in turn leads to decreased successes due to frustration from the people receiving the emails. There may be another Kevin Martin success or two, but after that, I am sure the address will dry. History shows that to be true. Has anyone seen a fred McGriff success since the address was posted here?
Several past responses from people that were formerly willing to send out autographs have also indicated they do not appreciate having their email posted on public sites to be used for autograph purposes. I have even had people that have asked me not to share their email. This is where my main problem resides, not in sharing and helping, but in that most of these folks do not appreciate all the requests. (that is not speaking for all of them, but look at the list on this site, a ton of them don't work anymore. Ask yourself why?) Other sites I visit do not allow email addresses to be posted because of this fact. (They ask that all emails be shared in private pm's to mitigate the number of emails these people are receiving) Sadly blind ambition to get autographs does not allow many to see this fact.
I am not pointing fingers at anyone. I am not "Triumph the Insult Dog", trying to poop on you or anything like that. Like I said, I think you guys are great. This site is dope, and we all know that, and it only gets better when we work together. Sharing is caring, and all we need is love. I just think that posting email addresses (talking about any email, not just big names) is unfair to the senders. My personal belief (nothing sacred, just what I feel), if you really want someone to send you an auto, then you should be able to find an address for that person (physical or email), by googling for their official website or whatever pretty easily. (most of those emails on the front page come from official websites anyways) I am sure nothing will change here, and in the end I will still frequent the site, but I figured I would throw my two cents into the wishing well also.
I would put my personal email in here so you could personally bash me in writing if you wanted, but I would find that to be too ironic, so PM if you think I am a jack as*, and you don't feel like posting in the forum.
Happy MLK Jr. Day everyone.

When I got into TTM in august, I tried Mcgriff because I knew he did work on tv/radio in tampa, Asides from Smoltz, Mcgriff is my favorite player. I tried the baseball address long before it was posted here, heck, thats how I got a few of my favorite authors by using google. I never got a response, I figured it was typical, Mcgriff is an odd signer, He never did many if any signings in alanta. I was surprised when people posted successes from him here. I wrote him again, this time asking him some questions about alanta, his career, never mentioned an auto, No reply. He's an odd signer and has always reacted to fan's in an unpredictable way. Great player, one of MLB's best, just not a great example of a guy to use as a signer turned sour by TTM. He has never been a predictable signer for his entire career.

I agree with you duhon21, because it is very easy to find email addys on the web. I have not joined an autograph site besides this one (this is actually a trading site), SCN, and Auto chaser which I am quitting because it costs 20 bucks now. Also something to mention is, maple and indyreds do share email addresses out and it's very nice of them to do so, but the addys that people like duhon or craan have are superstars. They are people that makemore than 10 million a year. I think if they shared those addys out, they get 1000 times more emails than the email addys posted here. So the people that keep email addys to themselves aren't stingy or mean or anything like that, they are just trying to protect the agent/player from getting their inbox full of fanmails. in my opinion
