Obama broken campaign promise #3 (at least)
In the last month of the presidential campaign, it was one of Barack Obama and Joe Biden's strongest attack lines: John McCain, they warned, would "tax your healthcare benefits for the first time ever."
But now, some Congressional Democrats in charge of health reform are talking about doing just that.

Oh but I forgot, it's only for the "higher incomes or more generous health benefits," so that makes it alright. As long as we're taking from the wealthy to give to the poor, it's ok. There's even a name for it: Socialism.
Two days in office and we're already up to three broken campaign promises.

Obama = Robin Hood
Steal from the rich and give to the poor!
I wonder how long it'll take until the resolution to change the name of our nation to "U.S.S.A" will be brought forth.
Yay, four more wonderful years. I'm so excited I just can't hide it

Hahaha...I LOVE how lovers never actually have anything to defend him with and just say "Whatever." The Paris Hilton Defense...very logical reasoning there.
And a lot of people think healthcare benefits aren't nonsense, they're kind of a big deal. Especially since that was one of the major issues of his platform.
So I read the blurb you posted (Didn't read the article)...and no where did I see a broken promise.
His pitch said John McCain would "tax your healthcare benefits for the first time ever." That implies that he would not tax healthcare benefits. You're right, it's technically not a promise. But it means either 1) he would not tax benefits, in which case he lied or 2) he knew he might tax benefits as well, in which case he was misleading us all along. Either way, he said one thing and is now doing another.

I don't think Bush was a great president, but either way that has nothing to do with this discussion. Bush is not involved with this issue, Obama is.
...let give obama some time before you try and bash him and say look hes lying aready....3 days now in office..I love the way you people think
That's exactly the problem...3 days in office, 3 broken promises. At this rate, he's batting .000 and won't keep any of his promises (which actually would be a good thing, so I guess it shouldn't bother me so much). Oh wait, I think they got a dog. So that's 1 kept, 3 broken...he's at .250. At least he keeps the important promises...
