Just because you don't like women's basketball doesn't deem it "crappy", as it was so elegantly put. Women's basketball gets back to more of the fundamentals of the game - the flashy, dunk between-the-legs stuff we are accustomed to seeing isn't the be-all and end-all of the sport. Seeing players actually play as a team is a nice alternative to seeing ballhogs showing off for the crowd by doing a 720 off the jumbotron dunk....no, I'm not saying the NBA is a bunch of ball hogs...you know what I mean.

I'll admit that I don't watch as much of women's basketball as I do men's, and I am a girl - but yeah, women are usually better than some might expect. No, we can't compete on the men's level because of all the physiological differences, but it doesn't have to be boring. And it's even more than fundamentals - I am an inconsistent shooter, but even people at the Y like to watch me because I can drain long bombs and make off-balance, contorted runners when I am on a hot streak. :D

The team stopped after they scored 100, with 4 minutes left to go in the game. It's kind of pathetic, whatever the reason, to use a fullcourt press every time and turn a game into a layup drill. Poor sportsmanship and it was realized after the game...

that is ridic...i fell really bad for them...

    I agree.

Forfeiting the game still doesn't redeem what was done.

I knew one guy who had the same mentality and vowed not to be persuaded otherwise - that is, until he had daughters of his own who liked the sport; then his approach suddenly changed.

Forfeiting the game still doesn't redeem what was done.

Not sure what the specific issues of the other team were, but hopefully they weren't too bothered by it. The media could be overplaying its effect.
