Man V. Food- Anyone watch it?

I just caught a few episodes this past week. The show's host takes "food challenges" in different cities. The first one I saw took place in San Antonio and he had to eat a 72 oz. steak plus all the sides in one hour. I just saw the one in New Orleans where he had to eat 15 dozen oysters in one hour.

    It's disgusting. Seriously.

Yeah, I watched half of one...It was really boring. I see someone eat everyday, why watch it on TV?

This is a good show IMO. There's more to it than seeing if he can eat a food establishments respective "challenge". I would say about 1/3 of the time he doesn't even complete the challenge. This guy is not a competetive eater also, from my understanding.

Across the USA, they/he visit cool little places that alot of people have never heard of and discuss the tradition of the city/food.

I think he's pretty funny as well, just my opinion though.

I enjoy it too and for the same reasons bcus said. I like most of the shows combining travel and food, they're two of my favorite things. I don't really care for the actually food challenge, but I don't mind it at all either. Lately I've been watching a lot of Man v. Food and No Reservations w/Anthony Bourdain

True. The first couple segments where he visits some of the local restuarants is actually pretty interesting.

Yea it does get a little gross though when he tries to eat 7lbs of a sandwhich filled with cole slaw and french fries- along with the normal monstrous portions of meat/cheese or whatnot :)

lol- It's not exactly the same thing. That would be like saying that you won't watch NASCAR because you see cars driving everyday.

Did you see the "heart attack" burger (or whatever it was called)? A hamburger, 3 fried eggs, 4 slices of cheese and 6 strips of bacon. Here's the kicker- it isn't served on a bun, it's served between two grilled cheese sandwiches. Uggg!
