    Celtics/Suns game

Wow, no thread for this game? Suns had been averaging 141 ppg since Gentry took over, yet they were only able to score 108 today. Celtics won big, without their best defensive player, 128-108, scoring the most points this season. Rajon Rondo had a career game, scoring 32 points, dishing 10 assists, and pulling down 6 rebounds, while shooting 13/18 from the field, including hitting the only 3-point shot he took. Ray Allen played wonderful as well, scoring 31 points on 10/15 shooting, and Paul Pierce, despite early-on struggling, scored 26 points.

Ray Allen, who broke Larry Bird's Celtics record for most free throws made consecutively of 71 by hitting 72 straight, dating back to December 25th, promptly missed his potential 73rd straight made free throw, immediately following the commentators talking about it. THEY JINXED HIM!

The Celtics replacements for KG did fairly well too. Brian Scalabrine started in place of him, and scored 14 points on 5/8 shooting, and Glen Davis scored 10 points on 4/4 shooting.

Fantastic game by the Celtics, and great to see them limit the Suns to only 108 points after putting up 140 in 3 conseuctive games!

Rondo showed me he can step it up without KG. I've gained more respect for him after his game today.

Rondo is a beast!! The kid throws the ball away a bit too much, but he's young. I really hope the C's hang on to him, cause I think in 2-3 years he will be a 17-18 PPG, 5-6 reb, and 10-11 assist guy every night.

Yeah, the jinx was right on que, he kept on trying every time Ray was on the line...doh.

    Thanks!

Yeah, he is huge! He's really a great player, and they mentioned during the game how he leads all guards in FG% at 51%!

Yep, cut down on TOs and he'll be an elite, consistent all-star type player. Even if he doesn't decrease his TOs, he'll still be an elite player! Oh, and his PPG, RPG and APG that you mentioned are just about his averages recently!

And that jinx was annoying...lol...I was going to post a thread about it, but remembered the Calderon one...lol

I'm disappointed that they are going with Scalabrine. Davis has been coming off the bench very well every game for about 15+ minutes all season and Brian has hardly been playing. Just unfortunate that they don't think he can hold it down.
