    Staff or Player TTM Success??

RockiesFan33 posted a success that got me thinking:
"Alcides Escobar - kept my custom, sent a signed card. 7 days c/o ST"

Why would Alcides (one of my fav. Brewers MiLB players) keep his custom and send a signed Minor card?

And when RockiesFan33 replied to my PM, he said this is the 2nd time Escobar has done this.

I sent 2 separate Escobar ST TTMs Thurs/Fri of last week. 1 w/'09 Topps + AutoCard, 2 w/'07 BM World + AutoCard, so we'll see what happens.

What do you guys make of his return?
You believe that Alcides has a stack of pre-signed cards that he has the Brewers staff "stuff" & reply to TTM, or something??
Why wouldn't he sign RockiesFan33 custom... TWICE?

I Know Some Hockey Players That Will Not Sign Customs As They Only Sign License Cards or Like You Say He Could Have a Stack of Cards Already Sign As I Know That Happens With Some Players

It happens a lot. Sometimes the player likes the card. Sometimes they refuse to sign any unlicensed cards. Matt LaPorta usually won't sign customs either. Maybe it's just a Brewers thing? :)

Lots of players sign cards in advance and who ever does their mail for them just tosses in the same amount of cards we send to them into the SASE. The cards we send then get signed and sent off to other people.

Looks like Alcides Escobar just is not signing non-licensed cards.
I sent him 2 separate TTMs c/o ST. He kept/didn't sign the Autograph Card I put in each TTM, but signed + returned the '09 Topps & '07 Bowman cards.
So for now, it appears he did RockiesFan33 a favor in signing + sending the MiLB card in place of his Custom (twice)... rather than getting no return at all.
    Interesting!
