I needed to do thids early today because I'm taking my kids to their moms this afternoon.

TIGER The OPEN and THE coverage.

I just want to start with the terrible coverage of the U.S. Open.
this was utterly just stupid to watch. I'm not talking about the round coverage , but what I watched and listened to on saturday.

I realize Tiger woods Is the best thing since the Completely round golf ball....

But what the hell was ESPN thinking on Saturday?????
While watching ESPN on Saturday, They came to US Open coverage, Fine, I thought I'd watch. I'm not a golfer, I really dont like golf, And I definetly would never actually watch a match on T.V.
Why is it that people want to see how bad a person is playing?!?!?!?!

They only did a 30 second segment on the Leader, And did'nt even talk about how Great Watson did ( even though he dropped pretty far) on Thursday. Now I realize this was two days earlier, But WHY THE HELL DO YOU DO A 5 MINUTE SEGMENT ON WHY TIGER IS PLAYING SO POORLY? Who Cares?

He has'nt won anything in how many weeks!!!
Maybe if that Prima-donna would play every week and not skip tourney's because the money is'nt worth it or the coverage is'nt up to what he thinks is good enough for him...
What an ™™™, Has he not realized that every other golfer goes out there every week and plays! Has he not realized that If he shows up to a Tournament, the media caravan that follows him will be there! Has he become TOO big for Golf? I think he thinks so.

Hey Tiger, Be a man ... Stop giving excuses why you wont go play at Joe-Blow Invitational at Hickville Links. People support you and the sport of golf Like never before. Dont ruin that for the fans and YOUR fans. By your not showing but when you feel like it or every 3 weeks to play is not professional In any means. There are PGA professionals that Have Played every week Every tourney and have never won ****. Your the most storied golfer since Nickilaus And Palmer... GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ™™™!

Now... Back to The ESPN thing.... WHY Should other golfers have to be side swiped by the media so they can get to tiger? I saw that plenty of golfers were WAY ahead of him. Why not talk to them? Ask them what they think they need to do on Sunday to come back and make a run at the leader??? Thats all they had to do to Tiger, Not interveiw him on how he missed this or that .
I really did'nt need a play-by-play analasys of every shot he took on Saturday. Has it become so slow in the golf world that fans are only going to watch the Rounds and not the coverage?!?!?!

Because the commentary and Personalities are horrible. I'm not saying we need a Happy Gilmore, BUt Come on... If I want to hear and read/see about a loser... I'd rather poke my eye out.

After all... I'm a Cubs fan I know about losing.

Tiger.... Get out there and play every week like your Golf Freinds do. At least they are trying to make the sport more popular. Obviously you have given up doing this. Take your Eccentric ™™™ back to Cali and brush uon your came then complain about people blowing wistles. You were already out of it when that happened! Stop being a whinning baby. Your an adult now. ACT LIKE IT!

And by the way, since we're ranting, why is it that in other sports, you can be as loud as you want, but in golf and tennis, you have to be quiet?

I am glad to see people "accidentally" make noise when Tiger's in the middle of his swing.

Hell, one of the best golfers to have live on Earth, and Tiger cries about noise?

What about the noises made when Shaq shoots free throws?
or Mark Prior pitching at an opposition's park
or during football games

I'd love to see more noises made at golf/tennis, lolol

Total agree with you JE. I think Tiger has played once here in the local PGA tourney the BC OPEN. His first year I believe. ince then hes become "too big" for that rincky dink tourney. PS- Im not a golf fan by any stretch....

They should dump the 5 minutes on Tiger's poor play and just show his girlfriend for 5 hours of coverage. Just follow her around the course, it will make for better golf viewing.

I think they should show even more of Tiger...without him golf would be in the dumps rating wise.
