    Ebay questions. (Possible scam?)

Once again, I am fairly new to collecting..so if Im wayy off base, please let me know.

I found a nice autographed card of DJ White. Its one of the new Topps Murad framed auto cards. The auction was a 24 hour auction, so i felt pretty good about trying to win. So, I bid $1.00. Well, I was the highest bidder until about 2 minutes left. Then with about 30 seconds left...I was outbid by $1.00. So, at the very last second...the auction sale price went to $7....and the auction was over. Fair enough...I didnt win. But, now Im pissed, that this morning the exact same card...(SAME NUMBER) is back up for sale again by the (EXACT SAME SELLER.) So, what gives? Is it fair to assume that he was wanting alot more for this card, (being a newly released product/short numbered auto) and instead of selling for cheap...he bid on the item himself..or had someone else bid for him...only to relist the item 12 hours later?

AM, I wrong for assuming this? What are my options? I am bidding on the card again, and this auction ends tonight...so, We'll see what happnes.

A lot of sellers do that these days.

They make several accounts and if an item does not sell well he will buy it again.

You can report ebay for shill bidding.

There are way too many sellers who do that though. Its crazy

I figured that was the case. But the seller is a power seller with a good track record.

The person who won could've said they wouldn't pay for it.

That could be a possibility. But the fact that the auction was posted back up only 15-20 minutes later, is what really looked odd to me.

Will do. He doesnt play, becasue he's got a huge tumor on his face. But, he is still a thunder player...So, I want his cards.

What letter by the way? (Really hoping for O-K-C)

Im guessing its "W" which is why he put (W) after the name of the card, and there are no O K or C in "White"

And as for the auction, sounds like a shill bid - not sure what he was expecting for it considering white hardly plays

I didnt see the "W" posted. But there are 3 different versions of the card. One spells...

    O-K-L-A-H-O-M-A C-I-T-Y

    One Spells

    T-H-U-N-D-E-R

    One Spells

    D-J W-H-I-T-E
