if your shorted an auto topps will either send u a box(i believe if you send all the cards back) or just send u an auto.

yeah I was shorted an auto from two boxes and they sent me an auto for each in less than a week.

You have to send the empty box and at least five of the empty packs.

That is a poor business move... anyone can send the empty box with 5 empty packs and say there wasnt a auto

Pretty positive they can verify... I look at it as a BRILLIANT business move.
To me, it's nothing but a redemption... So I sent that in, get a card in the mail, they look like a great company to the people I tell.
