Sprint Strikes another blow
First Cingular, Now onto Verizon...
This is a bunch of crap, Nascar should have never allowed this to be in the contract. Budweiser never kept The Miller car out of the Bud Shootout....Pepsi doesn't try to keep Cokes cars out of the 400....I thought in Business holding a Monopoly was a no-no.....

Verizon can't sponsor a Sprint Cup car, so together with Penske, the duo formed Verizon Championship Racing as a way to sponsor cars while playing by the rules.

ever since brian france took over he has done everything in his power to ruin nascar. there's the "chase" the cingular thing, all the stupid new rules(cant race back to the line on the last lap, lucky dog etc,) a different cup series sponser every other year. i bet his father is rolling in his grave.

but on the bright side...
Justin Allgaier, the nationwide driver for penske, has FULL sponsorship for the 12 car in the NNS. And yes, it's Verizon.
How many young drivers (outside Logano) can say that?

the exclusion is nothing new. WINSTON had the exclusive rights for many many years. That is why marlboro and others were not allowed to sponsor cars.

yes they did and they are owned by the same company that owns winston. [r j reynolds] so there was no competition they both were part of the same brand
