What human characteristics am I giving them? I have given them no characteristics at all. And no, by my premise, any multiple cell organism is not a human...only human embryos have the chance to become human, no other multi-celled organism. You're having a field day misconstruing things I say. It's pretty simple, I'll repeat it: human embryos, if nature is left to run it's course and barring any unforeseen natural or unnatural events, will become human. Any other multi-celled organism does not have the chance to become human and natural course means the embryo stays inside the mother.
And even though it doesn't relate to the current discussion, no I'm not a vegan (I think it's a silly idea altogether), humans do have souls, and they are the only organisms on Earth that do.

Religous belief right here. You want the governement to rule on something based on your personal religous belief. We are a secular society. All I have to say.

OK that is consitent. We just have different views then and I respect that.

Yes, that is a religious belief, but as I stated, has nothing to do with the topic. My opinions on the topic have nothing to do with souls and who/what does or doesn't have them.

When does the soul start? If you want to say it is immoral, to killed these possible children. I can say it is immoral not to take these cells and do research with them. Find treatments/cures for diseases. This is not a moral issue overall. This is a personal moral issue and I do not want our governement to make laws based on personal morals.

Fair enough...so you're against welfare as well? That's an issue that the government has made laws based on "personal" morals.
And anything that is a moral issue in any respect is a moral issue overall. If it's a moral issue, that means some people might not subscribe to the same moral code and, therefore, it is a personal decision as to whether you feel it is moral or not...and almost every issue is based on morals to some degree or another.

and not to mention if curses and even more effectove treatments to diseases were found, it could have huge changes in the medical system... either that ot they'd just charge more for those treatments. LOL

No I am not. I am for it morally but it comes to more basic issue for me. Genetic diversity. The more people we have around the more likely our species will survive a world-wide disaster.

OK, but for most people it is a moral issue, so the government is still enacting laws based on personal morals.
