May I remind you the Celtics did not win an away Game until the 3rd round of the playoffs last year.

Yeah I know, but there is a first time for everything :-)

LOL. Yep. I'm on the Bandwagon. Don't worry about the fact that my whole family lives in Boston and I've visited frequently my entire life.....You're obviously trying to turn this into a personal discussion, and I'll tell you right now, I WILL NOT sink to your level. Throw stones if you want........

    BACK ON TOPIC:
Yes, Rondo is a star. He is 6th in the NBA in APG with 8.4, and he has 11.4 PPG to go along with it.

Chris Duhon is 8th in the NBA in APG with 7.6, and he has 11.8 PPG to go along with it. Is Chris Duhon a star too? I rest my case....

No, Rondo is not a star. Is he a good player right now and can he improve in the future and perhaps become a star player? Certainly possible. But you need to have consistency to be a star player. And right now Rondo is not consistent at all.

Rondo would be put in the same class as some other young up-and-coming PG's (i.e. Sessions, Conley, Westbrook) None of those 3 guys are stars either, just good players like Rondo is

To each their own, but being a Celtics fan, I would most definitely call him a star - superstar, no...star, yes. I would rank him far higher than Sessions and Conley, and Westbrook shouldn't even be mentioned considering he's been an NBAer for what, 6 months? Rondo is the best shooting guard (not SG, he has the highest shooting % of any guard) in the league, averages 12 ppg on a team with 3 future HOFers, and dishes out 9 asts per game, top 5 in the league (I believe), as well as pulling down nearly 6 rpg.

Rondo shoots a higher percentage and plays less MPG. He also essentially doubles him in steals per game and rebounds per. I would also argue that the Knicks are more often than not playing from behind and thus not a stiffly contested as the Celtics.

    Jose Calderon too

Good player, yes. Star player, no.

Ok, osh, you win! Who meets this criteria for a "star" that you seem to have? Name a Guard that is better than Rondo that isn't a superstar.

There doesn't have to be anyone better than Rondo for him not to be considered a Star. Could be 100 players ahead of him, could be none. Point still is that he isn't in the Star player class right now. Maybe in the future he could be, but right now he is not a Star

All I'm saying is, unless you consider Harris to be the only "star" guard, Rondo has to be a star.
