Gilbert Arenas to play Saturday?
WASHINGTON (AP)—Agent Zero’s comeback day is Saturday. Definitely. Perhaps. Maybe. Depending on whom you ask.
Gilbert Arenas used a variety of means Monday to indicate that he could make his season debut for the Washington Wizards this weekend against the Detroit Pistons.
“I’m playing Saturday against Detroit,” he said in a text message sent to Comcast SportsNet.
Asked if it was really so, the three-time All-Star told a Washington Post reporter at the Verizon Center: “It’s only true if I play on Saturday.”
Arenas then told The Washington Times by phone that playing Saturday is “the plan”—but isn’t set in stone.
Arenas took a fourth approaching—playing coy—when approached by The Associated Press before Monday night’s game against the Chicago Bulls: “Everybody’s talking about Saturday, man. I don’t know how you can talk about Saturday when it ain’t here.”

Why come back this season? Why not just wait til next year? Wizards have the 2nd worse record in the league - why mess with success (or lack there of)?

There's no point in him playing this year. It's a wasted season, why risk injury? But, that's Gilbert for ya. Look at how much him coming back last year helped his team....lol.
I love how he says he'll only play home games, aside from the one road game in Cleveland. Man, we must REALLY get under his skin, knowing that he's been knocked out of the Playoffs THREE straight years by the Cavs.

What are you doing Arenas, stay down!! Looking at the luck we had this year(half the team practically dead from injuries), and Arenas' knees, he should just sit out and work on getting those knees ready for next year.
As for being 2nd worst, it's to win when you have only 8-9 players available playing due to injuries, and half those available players being rookies or 2nd year players.

Where does it say he only wants to play home games?? It seems whenever there's a Wizards post, which is rare enough, you have to come in with your CLEVELAND OWNS posts.
Besides, we have a game with the Cavs at Verizon Center coming up, which is a home game.
Lotto draft pick here we come!! Blake Griffin or Brandon Jennings?Last edited by GilbertArenas0; 03-24-2009 at 02:51 AM.

I don't think he should play it'd be a waste and also the Wizards will probably trade their pick or move someone because they'll be up there in the cap/

Butler was a SG early on 'till being pushed off to Small Forward due to guys like Wade and Bryant being the same team. Move him back to SG. Jamison has been a tweener so he can play either forward spot. That would leave a spot for Griffin.
Or they can take a top point guard like Ricky Rubio or Brandon Jennings( not sure on either, only saw Rubio in the olympics, and Jennings is more of a scorer.) Whoever is a true point guard at the top they should take, then move Arenas to Shooting guard, which would make sense since he's more of a scorer than passer.
