    Oilers Sign First-Rounder Jordan Eberle

    BY: Bruce Ciskie

The name of Jordan Eberle will go down in Canadian hockey history, regardless of what happens to him in professional hockey.

Eberle scored the game-tying goal in the dying seconds of Team Canada's dramatic shootout win over Russia in the 2009 World Junior Championships. The semifinal win set up the Canadians' relatively easy win over Sweden in the gold medal game. Now, Eberle is set to take his shot at an NHL career.

    Congrats Jordan!

This was awesome news for me when I found it out yesterday afternoon. Jordan Eberle's goal will be remembered by Canadian hockey fans everywhere, and I can't wait to see him in the NHL!

Of course, like all players, he needs to work on a few things with his game if he wants to succeed in the NHL. He also needs to bulk up from his 5'11 frame.

Regardless, I will be following his career closely and wish him the best of luck!
