My all time favorite was and still is 1996-97 Flair Showcase. Those cards are gorgeous! That was my favorite year of them. In my opinion they never did look as good in subsequent years. Most other products I enjoyed were from 96-97 to 99-00. Plenty of great sets and inserts to choose from, and many that still bring high prices.

Just to list a few: 97-98 and 98-99 Upper Deck, 96-97 SP, 97-98 UD3, 97-98 EX2001, 96-97 and 97-98 Fleer Ultra, 97-98 Metal Universe. The only box I was able to get as a kid was a 97-98 UD box, but I constantly bought packs of the rest.

I used to love skybox & ultra 92-93. I used to try & collect every insert. I been going back & picking up the old jordan, magic, bird inserts that I used needed to complete my set or always wanted, but didn't have money to spend. I was just starting junior high.. My favorite pack to open was HOOPS 92-93. Had the best of luck. Always got shaq! or magic all rookies.

I alwasy liked Hoops, Z-force, Topps Chrome, Flair Showcase, Finest. The nineties had great cards. Of course, I was a young kid, so I doubt I'l like Z-force now, haha.

^ That was actually 97-98 Stadium Club, although 96-97 wasn't bad, either..they had the Matrix parallels and some cool inserts like Rookie Showcase.

yes yes, the 1st year of the triumvirate was 96-97 , i remember i pulled the jordan clear one which i believe is called the illuminator. if you are into football, the 1997 triumvirate atomic refractors were actually inserted 1 or 2 a box inside wal mart packs, even though they were stated as 1:384 or whatever astronomical odds were (i cant remember the odds for THAT long). I built the whole set. Good times those 90's were.
