Dude I love the designs. I was playing around a little bit with this photo trying to make it look like how you did. LMK what you think. I know its not perfect but i think it is pretty good. BTW that is Pete Weber prospect for the Rays.

Right idea there. What software are you using? In PS, I make a duplicate layer of the image I want to edit. I convert that layer to black and white by using Cmd+U (Ctrl+U for PC I think) and lowering the saturation to -100. Then, after activating the color image, I use the lasso tool (feathered to 1) and eliminate the areas of the colored image that I don't want any longer. By selecting them and deleting, the feathered edges of the selection create a nice, smoothed line as opposed to a solid, choppy line. Add a drop shadow (there are plenty of ways to do this in PS) and you're basically done. The higher the quality of the image you're editing, the smoother your edges are going to turn out.

You are gonna laugh when I tell you. I am using picnik.com and i changed the tint of the picture to yellow in that case then I used the brush that restores the colors to normal to get Pete Weber out of the picture. Obviously it is gonna be better with photoshop but i think this is pretty good for a free website.

Brian, that is really good, although the swirls under the logo is just a bit much i think.
