What should I get?

Hey guys, I am down to my last 150 bucks and I am wondering wut to waste it on :P

when you choose though, pick the one that you think I'll most likely make my money back on O_o

because I don't think I've made my money back on any of my boxes yet lol...

And I recently got a box of 09 spx and LOVED it (but I didnt get best cards...) so

09 SPX Basketball Box ~ $150

09 Fleer Basketball Box ~ $60
09 Bowman Draft Picks and Stars ~ $80-90

I'd drop that $150 on eBay & Beckett on singles. ;)

You're in the wrong game if you think you'll make your money back. You might as well buy lottery tickets. If I could make my money back on cards, I would stop all my investments and dump money into the card market.

Well I think you can make your money back buy buying cards if you buy enough boxes, to pull a michael jordan. Then you'll make all your money back. I'm actually thinking when I grow up ill order a case a year or somethin and hope to pull somethin good (cases usually get your money back). at least from the case breaks I have seen.

Another good idea I might trying is after every box, you try to sell every single card you got to at least make a fraction of the money you spent back. Then with that money you can probably buy at least another box and you keep on doin that and doing that until you get a mj or lebron. (but also keep your pcs :P) this is only good if you already have bought a few boxes though otherwise you will spend like $100 on the first, then get 80$ and etc. If you start with more, theres more chance you'll get somethin better

Well the more boxes you get the closer you will get to your total money spent because eventually you will pull that amazing card that makes up for everything. But I am talking like 30+ boxes usually, unless you get lucky before that.

choice 5..... may be 09 Finest.... saw a D Wade auto in ebay.... pretty good looking card....
or Hardwood? i don't know the pulls are good or not, but should be fun to have Wood card....

ultimate is high end, try watching some 09 ultimate box breaks of baseball or football in youtube, it may give u idea on how the basketball one will goes.. would be similar..

But neway, I think I've narrowed it down to

1 box 09 SPX (I JUST LOVE THE DESIGN AND 2 ROOKIE AUTO JERSEYS!!)

or

1 box 09 Fleer, 1 box 09 Fleer Hot Prospects (80-90$)

or

1 box 09 Fleer, 1 box 09 SP Authentic (90-100$)

Do you guys know anything about the difference between Hot Prospects and SP Authentic, I think both give rookie patch autos that are about the same in value.

But I know SP Authentic gives a pretty decent auto while the Hot Prospects only guarantees 2 other jersey/autos so maybe its more of a risk?

Also, what do you guys know about the rates of finding on patch auto letters (manufactured for both?). I saw some youtube vids and a lot of them had it

Last, my local hobby shops still has some boxes of sp authentic lying around and is selling packs from opened boxes for 5 bucks. If I find a near fresh box should I ask him if I could keep buying pack by pack until I get the 2 hits? I don't kno if there is a common courtesy not to do that in card shops or somethin but yea if I could do that I would probably get authentic so that I could save some money.

I say go with SP Authentic. U get 2 AUTOs per box and the rookie patch AUTOs are going for alot. Also with SP Authentic they have those nice Letter cards.

More hit or miss with SPx.
Ive seen much better boxes from SP Authentic overall IMO.

SPA is a lot better than Hot Prospects. The Rookie Auto Patches are MUCH MUCH better and more valuable.
