Another redemption card nightmare
As some of you know, I've been working on the 07 Chronology Timeless Memories set. I just got a message on my John Wooden redemption card:
Inventory depleted, please email [email protected] sending a list of comparable teams and players and Upper Deck will send you a replacement. Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.
That really sucks, but I'm always prepared for that possibility when buying these. I have a Kobe redemption on the way too. uh oh! Hopefully I won't have the same problem with it. It also makes me wonder how many of these cards Coach Wooden actually signed.
Anyway, looks like I'll have to find the actual card on the bay or maybe a show, although these cards don't really show up at the shows I've been to.

Dang, sorry man!
"sending a list of comparable teams and players"
Classic Upper Deck.
How do you pick a replacement for Wooden?!

My thoughts exactly. He rarely signs. Rumors are he's completely stopped.
Tough luck. Make sure you tell them you want MJ or LBJ!!! Good luck with the sub.
... and you nailed my first two picks (like every other collector I'm sure).

yeah i know. they do have an appeal process now if you feel the card you rec'd isn't equal to the value of the original redemption so that's a positive.

In a way it stinks to pull a redemption because it could be expired but it is also good because normally the reemptions are the better autographs in a set.

Yeah, if you watch the prices of boxes and cases, the retailers will start marking down products with redemptions about 3 mos. before they expire.

The fun never stops. I just entered my redemption code for the Kobe auto #134, and I got the following message:
KOBE BRYANT
2007-08 NBA CHRONOLOGY TIMELESS MEMORIES-AUTOGRAPH #ED TO 99 CD #134
Athlete committed to signing soon, please be patient.
This is getting out of hand. The product has been released for MONTHS now, and one of their exclusive athletes hasn't signed all of the cards. What I don't get is there are some of these signed cards already on the market. Why weren't they all signed in one sitting?
