he had been trying :)
and yes you cant be wrong about a thread this old since the Pistons were swept out of the first round and the Nuggets are in the WCF..
one of these days, i will not say names, but take the most ridiculous quotes from that thread and make a new thread to display them :)Hidden Content

No, any pistons fan will tell you that once he signed that big 'ol fat contract he slacked off more then ever. the Billups of the Pistons between like 2005 til 2008 or whatever is not the same Billups as the one on the Nuggets. And you obviously didnt get what i meant about not being wrong...

he tried, the Pistons team is just generally lazy since Larry Brown left, Saunders brought the laziness out of all of them, notice how well the Pistons started out with Billups this season? :)

with Billups? sure they would have, the Pistons ALWAYS beat the Magic, and they beat Boston by 10 on the road without KG this season, there is no reason they couldnt have made it back

Back on topic, this draft is not looking particularly exciting. I have my doubts about Griffin. There is something that is niggling at me that he will not be as good as he should be. I could be proven wrong, but I do not see him as a franchise player. With his frame, he should have a decent rookie year though.
I like the upside of Rubio - he did well in the Olympics and at 18 has the potential to be antoher Tony Parker. Spanish players have done well in the NBA of late, which bodes well. I think his cards with Panini could be interesting in Europe.
After that the things tail off rapidly. Stephen Curry interests me. The kid clearly has some serious work ethic and provide a lot of people wrong in college. He could be a late lottery pick and therefore be under-valued initially on the card front and prove people wrong.
