Iran says it tested surface-to-surface missile
Iran announced Wednesday that it successfully tested another “Sajil” missile, a longer-range surface-to-surface missile that can reach Europe.
A similar test was carried out in November.
An Israel official said the reported test should be more of a concern to Europe than to Israel, since previous missiles tested by Iran could already reach the Jewish state.
“If anyone had any doubt, it is now clear that the Iranians are playing with fire,” Israeli Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Danny Ayalon said Wednesday in an interview on Kol Israel Radio. “We know that the Iranians are developing capabilities of thousands of kilometers, that could reach the coasts of the United States …

Hmmmm, we're going to wait until hundreds of thousands of people are killed to do something. Thats the sad part.

For all we know, they could be blowing smoke. A lot of times, these so-called "missile tests" are a complete disaster and reported as a great big scare.
Not saying that is the case here, but its worth noting.

Yeah I did notice the article only refers to Iran saying they did this...usually there's a confirmed report from a secondary source, like with the North Korea missile testing.

It probably is all just smoke, but do we take that risk? I feel we need to find something out for sure. It'd be nice if the other countries of the world would also try.

Oh you better believe Israel's trying. But I know what you mean...the rest of the world relies heavily on America to take care of these kind of things. But if we do it to them or one of their allies, then they get mad and say we're policing the world.

This country isn't really in a position to go mess with Iran right now. We are still in Iraq and Afghanistan, leaving our military stretched pretty thin. Not to mention the economic problems the country is suffering.
Don't get me wrong, national security should be at the forefront of our concern. However, I don't believe Iran has reached a point where we are in dire need of doing something. They have a little while to go before it reaches a point of action. I assure you that the administration is certainly keeping an eye on them though, as did the Bush administration.

I think you may have missed the point. We are in iraq and afghanistan right now so that we can go mess with iran right now..... If they do the slightest little thing to Israel, bam, we're there.
But seriously, iran is very close to action. some estimate nuclular capability in 1 year or less. They don't have to have the technology to attach it to a rocket, they know N.korea failed miserably, they were there watching.
All they need is a large suitcase and a "dirty" bomb will do the trick. It won't have the devastation a hydrogen bomb from the U.S. will, but no one will be living in Jerusalem for the next 100,000 years without a full radiation suit none-the-less....

Ya'll also forget that Israel destroyed Syria's "secret" nuclear facility last year. No one even reported it accept for the Christian news agencies. Did ya'll even hear about that?
Of course they'll blast iran's. But they know they have to wait until the last moment, or else they are the enemy.
